Lease Types
If you want an Artist Lease, order it from this page for immediate download. For Producer Lease or Exclusive Lease, make an offer on the Contact page instead of purchasing from the Beats page.
Artist Lease
You will receive an encoded WAV file of the Beat for your non-exclusive use. This license entitles you to royalty-free distribution of up to 5,000 units, and up to 100,000 streams. You must credit "Prod. by Noteworthy Production."
The term Beat refers to a composition and recording production, that may be a beat or song, which are rendered into files for delivery with a license. The files can be delivered digitally through download or email. Leasing rights allow you to use the Beat for non-profit, profit, promotional use and/or demos. You have full rights to record, mix the Beat in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the Beat), up to designated limits. You may not otherwise alter the Beat without permission from Noteworthy Production.
Once you lease a Beat you have agreed to a non-exclusive rights agreement to the Beat. In the event that someone buys exclusive rights to the Beat you have leased, your rights shall stand and the Beat is still yours to use. You may also acquire new leasing rights if you wish to sell more than the licensed number copies or gain more than the licensed number of streams since your contract predates exclusive sale. You must give full credit to Noteworthy Production on all commercial recordings, album releases, and mixtape releases. Upon purchasing leasing rights, Noteworthy Production still owns the Beat(s) and has the right to resell the Beat(s) to any other party until exclusive rights have been purchased.
Producer Lease
You will receive the same files as the Artist Lease, plus stems that may be used in your DAW of choice to remix parts of the Beat. For example, you could eliminate one type of instrument (e.g., drums) and keep the rest intact. Files will be distributed by email after receipt of payment. The same general license provisions and restrictions will apply, but with higher limits.
- Distribution: Limited to 10,000 units
- Streaming: Limited to 500,000 streams
- Credit: Must be given to “Prod. by Noteworthy Production”
Exclusive Lease
Once you acquire an Exclusive Lease to a Beat, you have agreed to an exclusive rights agreement to the Beat. Within 24 hours of purchasing an Exclusive Lease, Noteworthy Production will cease further leasing of the Beat to other listeners, artists, and producers. Any licensors prior to this point will retain the rights they have purchased. If you have previously leased a Beat, you may secure Exclusive Lease rights by making an offer that is accepted by Noteworthy Production, agreeing to a contract, and making payment. You must give full credit to Noteworthy Production on all commercial recordings, album releases, and mixtape releases. Even after Exclusive Lease rights have been purchased, Noteworthy Production still owns the Beat(s) and has the right to feature its creation, for example, in a portfolio or samples of previous work, and promote its contribution to derivative works.
- Files: You will receive the same files and in the same manner as the Producer lease.
- Distribution: Unlimited
- Streaming: Unlimited
- Credit: Must be given to “Prod. by Noteworthy Production”
Additional provisions and terms for Exclusive Leases:
- Noteworthy Production will receive 50% publishing royalty (if beat contains no samples) and 3% producer royalty from the sale of records, streams and downloads.
- You also agree that you must record and distribute the beat/song within 2 years of the day of exclusive rights purchase. For more information please contact us.
